T-Mobile Essentials Saver is designed for users who don’t mind deprioritized cellular data (AKA, data that can be slowed down temporarily when networks are busy). It’s also a possible fit for any cell phone users who don’t need hotspot data very frequently. Note that this plan doesn’t include any extra perks like streaming services.
The real highlight of T-Mobile Essentials Saver is its price. Compared to plans from other carriers like AT&T and Verizon, this basic, entry-level plan is competitively priced. T-Mobile also includes multi-line discounts with this plan, so you can get even more savings with multiple lines.
The only thing to keep in mind is that, unlike more premium unlimited T-Mobile plans, the T-Mobile Essentials Saver plan does not include taxes and fees that can add around 10-12% of the price to the upfront cost.
It shouldn’t be a surprise that a plan with “Essentials” in its name doesn’t offer any bells and whistles. However, T-Mobile Essentials Saver does deliver unlimited data. While all data on this plan is deprioritized, which is subject to slowdowns during high-traffic times, most folks don’t tend to even notice the difference between deprioritized and premium data unless they engage in heavy-data activities like streaming or gaming.
One limitation is that T-Mobile Essentials Saver does not offer any high-speed mobile hotspot data.
No frills, remember? T-Mobile Essentials Saver doesn’t come with any perks or add-ons, so you won’t get any video streaming services or other subscriptions thrown in.
One of the nation's largest wireless carriers, T-Mobile coverage extends across the majority of the United States. Like its main competitors, AT&T and Verizon, T-Mobile operates its own 4G LTE and 5G networks. T-Mobile’s 4G network is the smallest of those three, but its 5G is the largest, with high-speed service that covers 29% of the map. T-Mobile’s 5G includes standard 5G and 5G UC, or Ultra Capacity, which offers even faster speeds.

T-Mobile Essentials Saver is T-Mobile’s most basic, entry-level unlimited data plan offering. It’s a level below T-Mobile Essentials, and also sits below T-Mobile Go5G, T-Mobile Go5G Plus, and T-Mobile Go5G Next in the T-Mobile unlimited plan lineup.
The T-Mobile Essentials Saver Plan is T-Mobile's most basic entry-level unlimited plan. It provides a dependable allocation of deprioritized data and does not include any high-speed hotspot data or extra perks like Netflix or Disney+.
If you’re looking to save money on your plan by opting for deprioritized data instead of premium data, and you’re okay with limiting your hotspot usage, T-Mobile Essentials Saver could be a good fit.
For a slightly higher cost, T-Mobile Essentials includes phone device promotions if you want the latest Apple iPhone or another new mobile phone. Everything else is the same as the T-Mobile Essentials Saver plan.
