Verizon Disney Bundle: Is it Worth It?
If you’re not careful, it can be hard to keep track of all of your streaming subscriptions. You might purchase Max for The Sopranos, Netflix for the comedy, and Hulu for the broadcast dramas, but paying for all of them separately will leave you with a massive monthly payment. Luckily, some cell phone carriers have started offering streaming bundles as add-ons to their mobile plans, helping you lower your streaming-related costs.
One of the best of the bunch is the Verizon Disney Bundle, which offers Verizon unlimited customers Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+. In this guide, we’ll explain how to activate the Disney Bundle for Verizon, break down the specifics of those subscription packages, and evaluate whether the add on is worth the cost.
What Is the Verizon Disney Bundle?
The Verizon Disney Bundle is a streaming add on for Verizon’s Unlimited Welcome plan, Unlimited Plus plan, and Unlimited Ultimate plan. The Disney Bundle is one option in Verizon's myPlan program.
The Disney Bundle includes:
- Disney+ Premium (No Ads): Movies, shows, and specials from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more.
- Hulu (With Ads): Movies, shows, and specials, including FX and Hulu Originals, as well as re-runs from broadcast television.
- ESPN+ (With Ads): Live and archived sports, ESPN+ originals, 30 for 30, and more, though this does not include access to the live ESPN cable network.
The Bundle costs $10/month for 36 months. The charge is added to your monthly cell phone bill. Looking to share with the other people on your family plan? You can add up to seven profiles to your Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ accounts.
How to Activate the Disney Bundle for Verizon
First, you’ll need to make sure you enrolled on an eligible Verizon unlimited plan: that means the Unlimited Welcome plan, the Unlimited Plus plan, or the Unlimited Ultimate plan.

Is the Verizon Disney Bundle Worth It?
I recently switched to Verizon from AT&T and was weighing whether or not adding the Disney Bundle would be a worthwhile addition to my plan. I was already paying for Hulu (With Ads, for $9.99/month) and my wife also wanted to add a Disney+ account to our streaming routine. I knew the $10/month was a good deal compared with what I was already paying for Hulu alone, but I wanted to see if I could save some money by going directly through Disney.
There are two similar Disney Bundle options available direct from Disney that don’t require a Verizon plan: the Trio Basic ($16.99/month) and Trio Premium ($19.99/month).
They’re not entirely parallel to the Verizon Disney Bundle. Disney’s direct bundles would have forced me to choose between ads (Trio Basic) or no ads (Trio Premium) while the Verizon Disney Bundle offers a mish-mash—ads on Hulu and ESPN+, but no ads on Disney+. Despite the inconsistencies, the contrast in price was hard to miss, with Disney’s cheapest option about $7 more expensive than going through Verizon. After looking at the numbers, it was clear to me as a new Verizon customer that the Verizon Disney Bundle is definitely worth it.
If you’re not already a Verizon customer, though, the Verizon Disney Bundle might not be a good enough reason to switch, especially if you currently have a reliable low-cost plan with another carrier. Verizon’s unlimited plans start at $65/month and the Disney Bundle costs an additional $10/month. (I’m on a family plan with four lines, so I pay $30 for the line and $10 for the Disney Bundle.) But you should do the math for your own situation: there’s a chance that purchasing a direct-from-Disney bundle plus the cost of your current monthly cell phone bill is less than getting the same from Verizon. If that’s the case, then you’re better off sticking with your current plan and buying your bundle directly from Disney.
The Bottom Line
The Verizon Disney Bundle offers Verizon unlimited plan subscribers Disney+ (No Ads), Hulu (With Ads), and ESPN+ (With Ads) for an additional $10/month. That’s much cheaper than purchasing all of the services separately and even cheaper than buying a similar bundle directly from Disney.
If you’re already a Verizon unlimited subscriber and interested in these streamers (or already have these subscriptions and are looking to save some money), then it’s a great deal. You won’t find all of these options available for this cheap.
If you’re not already a Verizon subscriber, then it might not be the best choice for you. Before deciding whether or not you should switch to Verizon, we recommend breaking down the numbers to see how much you’d actually save per month.
